A calm and personal approach, fully in english
- Personal guidance from start to licence
We guide learners from their very first lesson to the day of their driving test. You always drive with the same instructor, so you never have to explain your level twice and you know exactly where you stand.
At the start of each lesson you agree on a goal together. At the end you look back on what went well and what needs more practice. That way you see your progress every week and you only pay for lessons you actually need.
Our aim is not just that you pass. We want you to feel safe and confident on Dutch roads, with all their bicycles, roundabouts and priority rules.

Which situation fits you?
- Lessons for every level
Every learner starts from a different point. Whether you have never driven before or have years of experience abroad, we adapt the lessons to your level.
New to driving
Never driven before? You start with the basics and build up step by step. After your trial lesson you get honest advice on which package suits you.
You have a foreign licence
Driven for years in another country? Then you mainly need to get used to Dutch traffic and the CBR exam standards. A shorter package is usually enough.
Need more pratice?
Already allowed to drive here but not yet comfortable? Book refresher lessons and practise the situations you find difficult.
Can you use your foreign driving licence in the Netherlands?
- Drivingschool Dordrecht
That depends on where your licence was issued.
EU or EEA licence
You can generally keep driving on it in the Netherlands for as long as the rules for your licence allow, and you can exchange it for a Dutch one.
Licence outside the EU or EEA
You may drive on it for 185 days after registering in the Netherlands. After that you need a Dutch licence.
30% ruling
If you benefit from the 30% tax ruling, you can usually exchange your foreign licence without taking the exams.
If you cannot exchange your licence, you take the Dutch theory exam and practical exam at the CBR. The theory exam is available in English. Always check your personal situation with the RDW or your municipality.
Not sure what applies to you? Send us a message and we will help you figure out the next step.
